soup with oatmeal=healthy! can add chicken stock or chicken breast for more flavour when adding oatmeal

Recipe Ingredients for oatmeal soup

3 cups water, boiling in pan, add:
2 medium potatoes, diced and boiled
1/2 onion, diced and boiled

after about 5 minutes of boiling add:
3 tablespoons oatmeal, boiled
1/2 tablespoon salt

Recipe Directions for oatmeal soup

  1. set the 3 cups of water to boil

  2. add diced potatoes and diced onion; potatoes but thin

  3. after it's boiled for about 5 minutes and the potatoes are almost through add the oatmeal and salt...STIR

  4. let boil until oatmeal looks boiled and set aside..STIR

  5. can add chicken stock for more taste, but also more calories
