Recipe Ingredients for Oatmeal Soup

2 tablespoon unsalted butter
2 medium yellow onion, thinly sliced
1/3 cup steel cut oats
3 cups fat-free chicken broth
1 tablespoon oat bran

Recipe Directions for Oatmeal Soup

  1. Roast oats & oat bran

  2. Saute onions in butter

  3. Add Chicken broth, oats, onions to crock pot

  4. Slow cook 6~8 hours

  5. Add half & Half, salt, pepper as desired
