Adapted from America's Test Kitchen

Recipe Ingredients for Oatmeal

3 cups of water
1 cup of 1% milk
2 tsp butter
1 cup oats, steel cut
1/4 tsp salt
2 tbsp agave syrup
1 cup blueberries, frozen, unsweetened

Recipe Directions for Oatmeal

  1. Bring water and milk to a boil.

  2. Toast oats in pan with melted butter. Add to boiling milk mixture.

  3. Simmer on med-low for 20 min. Add salt and simmer for 10 more min, or until liquid is absorbed.

  4. Take off heat, stir in blueberries and agave. Let stand for 5 mins to meld flavours before serving.
