Whole Wheat version of a favorite snack

Recipe Ingredients for Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

1 1/2 cups rolled oats
3/4 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 cup margarine, soften
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1 egg, large
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup raisins, chopped

Recipe Directions for Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In medium bowl, combine oats, flour, baking powder and cinnamon; set aside. cream butter and both sugars until incorporated. Add egg and vanilla, mix thoroughly. Add oat mixture and mix until just combined. fold in raisins.

  2. Drop rounded teaspoons of batter, about 1 inch apart on to 2 ungreased cookie sheets. Bake for 9 to 10.
