I make this on Sunday and then portioned it out in 3/4 cup containers for the rest of the week. Use old-fashioned oats (not instant) for best results.

Recipe Ingredients for Oatmeal Plus

3 cups oatmeal
3 cups skim milk
4 cups water
3/4 cup Grape Nuts
1/2 cup flaxseed meal
1/2 cup dried cranberries
1/2 cup chopped dates
1/3 cup honey

Recipe Directions for Oatmeal Plus

Cook the oatmeal, milk, and water over medium heat until it begins to boil. As soon as boiling begins, turn to very low heat and add the remaining dry ingredients. Allow to sit on very low heat for about 10 minutes. Stir in honey. Salt can be added. I don't add salt when I make this recipe.
