Recipe Ingredients for Oatmeal Peanut Butter Bars

8 tbsp Salted Sweet Cream Butter
9 tbsp Creamy
8 oz Pure Cane Sugar
2 oz Eggs
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
0.5 cup Gold Medal Whole Wheat Flour
0.75 cup Wheat Flour, White, Bread, Enriched
0.5 serving Baking Powder
0.5 tsp Salt
1 cup dry Old Fashioned Quaker Oats
0.5 cup Steel Cut Oats Hot Cereal
3 tbsp Milled Flax Seed
26 g Wheat Germ
283 grams Chocolate Chips

Recipe Directions for Oatmeal Peanut Butter Bars

  1. JESSIE'S OATMEAL PEANUT BUTTER BARS

  2. (we rip through these like they are going out of style every time I make them...)

  3. Preheat oven to 350 degrees

  4. Cream Together:

  5. 1/2 cup butter

  6. 2/3 cup creamy peanut butter

  7. 1 cup brown sugar

  8. 2 egg whites

  9. 1 tsp vanilla

  10. Add & mix together until its at a cookie dough consistency :

  11. 1/2 cup wheat flour

  12. 3/4 cup white flour

  13. 1/2 tsp baking powder

  14. 1/2-3/4 tsp salt (depending if you salted butter or not)

  15. 1 1/2 cup steel cut oats (I use a mixture of oat, barley, rye, wheat, and kamut flakes)

  16. Lightly grease (I use pam) a 9 x 9 pan

  17. Press peanut butter dough into pan until smooth on top

  18. Poor a thick layer of semi sweet chocolate chips over the dough

  19. Bake for 15-17 minutes

  20. Spread the melted chocolate chips out so they are smooth like frosting

  21. Cool, then cut into bars and EAT UP!

  22. Enjoy!
