Recipe Ingredients for Oatmeal Pancakes

1/2 c rolled oats
3/4 c Wholewheat flour (Pancake mix)
3/4 c fat-free milk
1/4 c unsweetened applesauce
1 egg
1/4 tsp almond extract
4 tbsp sliced almonds

Recipe Directions for Oatmeal Pancakes

  1. Mix together all ingredients in order listed. Stir until just moistened. (For thicker batter, prepare the night before & refrigerate overnight.)

  2. Heat non-stick or well-seasoned griddle over medium heat.

  3. Use 2 TBSPs batter per pancake. Turn pancakes when top appears dry & bubbles begin to pop. Makes about 8 pancakes.
