Recipe Ingredients for Oatmeal Muffins

1 cup rolled oats
1 cup milk, sour
1 egg, beaten
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup flour
1/3 cup shortening, or margarine, melted
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 cup raisins

Recipe Directions for Oatmeal Muffins

  1. In a bowl, soak the oats in the sour milk for a few minutes.

  2. Meanwhile, mix flour with brown sugar, salt, baking powder, soda, cinnamon, and raisins.

  3. Add egg and shortening to oat mixture.

  4. Add flour mixture and mix well with spoon.Put into muffin tin which has been lined with cupcake liners.

  5. Bake at 350 F for 20 minutes.
