A little twist on the regular old fashioned oatmeal cookie with dried cranberries! The addition gives a slight tart flavor to the delightful taste of the oatmeal cookies!

Recipe Ingredients for Oatmeal cranberry cookies

1 c butter
1 c dark brown sugar
1/2 c white sugar
2 eggs
1 T vanilla
3/4 c whole wheat flour
3/4 c white flour
1 t baking soda
1 t salt
3 1/2 c quick oats
2 t cinnamon
2 t nutmeg
1 1/2 c dried cranberries

Recipe Directions for Oatmeal cranberry cookies

  1. Preheat oven to 375 farenheit

  2. Blend room temp. Butter with the sugars until creamy. Add the eggs and blend. Add the vanilla and blend once more.

  3. In a bowl combine flour, baking soda and salt along with the nutmeg and cinnamon. Blend with a fork.

  4. Add the flour mix to the sugar mix. Stir until combined. Gradually add the oatmeal. Lastly, add the cranberries

  5. Chill the dough if desired for an hour.

  6. Drop by tablespoons onto cookie sheet (prepare as desired). Flatten with fingers slightly. Bake 12-14mins or until still soft but golden.

  7. Enjoy!
