Oatmeal cookies found on the back of Market Pantry Old-Fashioned Oats container. The cookies can be made with or without raisins and cinnamon.

Recipe Ingredients for Oatmeal Cookies

2 stick Butter
1 cup, packed Sugars, Brown
1/4 cup, packed Sugars, Brown
3/4 cup Sugars, Granulated
2 tsp Vanilla Extract
2 large Egg, Whole
1 1/2 cup Gold Medal All Purpose Flour
1/2 tsp Baking Powder
1/2 tsp Salt, Table
3 cup dry Old Fashioned Quaker Oats
1 tsp Cinnamon, Ground
16 oz (60 raisins) Raisins, Seedless

Recipe Directions for Oatmeal Cookies

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F.

  2. Beat butter, sugars and vanilla on MEDIUM speed of electric mixer until creamy. Beat in eggs until light and fluffy.

  3. Mix in flour, baking powder and salt (and cinnamon if desired) on LOW speed until well blended. Stir in oats. Stir in raisins, if desired.

  4. Form dough into 2-inch balls (about 2 rounded Tablespoons of dough) and place on cookie sheet about 2-inches apart.

  5. Bake 16 to 18 minutes until edges begin to turn golden brown and center still appears slightly soft. Let cool on cookie sheet 2 minutes. Remove to wire rack, let cool.
