Oatmeal cookies from the Quaker package, with crisco instead of butter. No cinnamon or raisins.

Recipe Ingredients for Oatmeal Cookies, Jo's Style

16 tbsp Shortening Sticks
3/4 cup, packed Sugars, Brown
1/2 cup Sugars, Granulated
2 large Egg, Whole
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
1 1/2 cup Gold Medal All Purpose Flour
1 serving Baking Soda
1/2 tsp Salt, Table
3 cup dry Old Fashioned Quaker Oats

Recipe Directions for Oatmeal Cookies, Jo's Style

  1. Preheat oven 350

  2. Beat butter and sugars until creamy

  3. Beat in eggs and vanilla

  4. Add combined flour, salt, baking soda. Mix well

  5. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheets.

  6. Bake 8-10 minutes. Cool one minute on sheet.

  7. Get your share before you summon the roommates. Makes about 48 cookies, one cookie per serving for easy math.
