Recipe Ingredients for Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

192 grams Baking Mix
28 grams Butter
65 grams Applesauce (trader joe's)
4 grams Vanilla Extract
51 grams Egg, Whole
193 grams Sugars, Brown
213 grams Rolled Oats
180 grams Chocolate Chips

Recipe Directions for Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

  1. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and the sugars.

  2. Beat in the egg, followed by the applesauce and the vanilla extract.

  3. Working by hand, stir in the baking mix and the oats until just combined and no streaks of flour remain.

  4. Stir in the chocolate chips.

  5. Refrigerate for one hour to let oats soften (eliminate this step if using quick-cooking oats).

  6. Preheat oven to 350F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  7. Drop tablespoonfuls of the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, flattening each cookie slightly.

  8. Bake for about 10-12 min. Cookies will be light brown at the edges when done.

  9. Let cool on sheet for 3 or 4 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

  10. Store in an airtight container.
