Delicious treat with the nutrition of oatmeal, raisins and walnuts.

Recipe Ingredients for Oatmeal caramel bars

1 cup butter
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 1/2 cups flour
2 cups oats
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup raisins
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
2 cups chocolate chips
12 oz sweetened condensed milk

Recipe Directions for Oatmeal caramel bars

  1. Combine softened butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla in large mixing bowl.

  2. Add flour, salt and baking soda on top and stir.

  3. Add oats and raisins and mix well.

  4. Spread batter evenly on large baking sheet.

  5. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes.

  6. Remove from oven and layer chocolate chips, nuts and sweetened condensed milk on top in that order.

  7. Bake an additional 20 minutes. Cool 10 minutes before slicing.
