Yummy recipe with a great texture. Can be made into veggie meatballs or a meat loaf too!

Recipe Ingredients for Oatmeal Burgers

4 cups oatmeal
4 cups of water
1 cup of onion
2 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 cup of walnuts (finely chopped)
1 1/2 tsp of salt
1 tsp sage
1/4 cup nutritional yeast
1 cup mushrooms (minced)

Recipe Directions for Oatmeal Burgers

  1. Chopped onion and nuts. Add to water with seasonings and boil. You can use veggie boullion instead of salt. After onion is tender. Add the mushrooms and the oatmeal. Let it rest until somewhat cool.

  2. Preheat oven to 350' F

  3. Dip 1/3 cup into water and shake dry. Use this to scoop out the dough onto an oiled cookie sheet.

  4. Flatten into patties and spray with cooking oil. Cook for 30 minutes. Flip and cook for 10 more.
