Hearty Cookie Like Oatmeal Bars. Great for on-the-go breakfast.

Recipe Ingredients for Oatmeal Breakfast Bars

2 cups old fashioned oats
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 cup Splenda Brown Sugar blend
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup walnuts or pecans, chopped
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
1 cup 1% milk
2 large eggs, slightly beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla

Recipe Directions for Oatmeal Breakfast Bars

  1. Preheat oven to 400-degrees.

  2. In large bowl, stir together dry ingredients including nuts and raisins.

  3. Add applesauce, eggs, milk, and vanilla to dry ingredients. Stir until well mixed.

  4. Spray 8x8-inch baking pan with non-stick cooking spray - butter flavor preferred. Bake at 400-degrees for 35-45 minutes or until edges are lightly golden brown.

  5. Cool, cut into 6 pieces. Store in plastic sandwich bags for breakfast on the go.
