I needed to use up a very ripe banana, so I put it in this recipe and reduced the original amounts of sugar. Still not healthy, but the kids loved them.

Recipe Ingredients for Oatmeal Banana Chocolate Chip Cookies

1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 banana, medium
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 tsp baking soda
3/4 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup quick oats
1/2 cup Old Fashioned Oats
1/2 cup chocolate chips

Recipe Directions for Oatmeal Banana Chocolate Chip Cookies

  1. Mash banana.

  2. Beat banana, butter (softened) and sugars.

  3. Beat in egg and vanilla.

  4. In a separate bowl, stir flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon.

  5. Stir flour mix with wet mix.

  6. Stir in oats, then chocolate chips.

  7. Place teaspoons full on cookie sheet.

  8. Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes.
