Pancakes made with oatmeal and apples

Recipe Ingredients for Oatmeal apple pancakes

1/2 cup oatmeal
3/4 cup skim milk
2 tbsp butter, melted
1/4 cup whole wheat flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 egg
1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup apples, chopped

Recipe Directions for Oatmeal apple pancakes

  1. Warm milk and combine with oatmeal. Let sit for 10 minutes

  2. Add remaining ingredients and stir to combine

  3. Drop large spoonfuls on a pre-heated griddle on med-low heat. Flip with spatula when bubbles appear and brown on each side.

  4. Serve with maple syrup or jam.
