Recipe Ingredients for Oatmeal-Apple Crisp

1/2 cup whole-wheat flour
3/4 cup quick-cooking oats
3/4 cup dark brown sugar, packed, divided
3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon, divided
1/4 cup butter, chilled, cut into small pieces
2 1/2 pounds apples
1/2 cup raisins
1 Cooking spray
1/2 cup pecans, chopped

Recipe Directions for Oatmeal-Apple Crisp

  1. Preheat oven to 375.

  2. Lightly spoon flour into a dry measuring cup; level with a knife. Combine flour, oats, 1/2 cup sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon in a medium bowl; cut in butter in a food processor until resembles coarse meal. Mix in the pecans.

  3. Combine 1/4 cup sugar, 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon, apples in a 13 x 9-inch baking dish coated with cooking spray. Sprinkle the raisins on top.

  4. Sprinkle with oat mixture. Bake at 375 for 30 minutes. Lower the temperature to 325. Cook for an additional hour, or until the apples are tender.
