Waffle batter recipe. Use certified GF oats for gluten free waffled.

Recipe Ingredients for Oat Waffles

5 1/2 oz rolled oats
2 oz potato starch
2 oz tapioca starch
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
3 tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
3 eggs
16 oz buttermilk (room temperature)
2 tbsp unsalted butter (melted and cooled)
2 tbsp canola oil

Recipe Directions for Oat Waffles

Heat 10 inch skillet on medium heat and toast oats - about 3 minutes. Grind oats in food processor until they are the consistency of whole wheat flour. Mix dry ingredients in a large bowl. Whisk together wet ingredients and add to dry. Stir together - do not over mix! Rest for 5 minutes before making waffles following manufacturer instructions. Makes 4 circles and 8 half circles.
