Recipe Ingredients for Oat fruit scones

1 egg
1 cup nonfat buttermilk
3 tablespoons canola oil
2 teaspoons orange zest
1/2 cup oats
1 1/2 cups flour
1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
1/3 cup sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
6 oz. craisins
1/2 cup walnuts

Recipe Directions for Oat fruit scones

  1. Preheat oven to 350. Spray pam on cookie sheet.

  2. Beat egg and buttermilk and add orange zest and canola oil.

  3. Mix oats, flours, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

  4. Stir in buttermilk mixture.

  5. Fold in nuts and fruit.

  6. Scoop onto cookie sheets and bake 10 minutes.
