Recipe Ingredients for NYPD PANCAKES

3/4 cup white flour
3/4 cup whole wheat flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
3 tbsp white sugar
2 egg whites
1 1/2 cups buttermilk
1/2 tsp vanilla

Recipe Directions for NYPD PANCAKES

  1. In large bowl combine dry ingredients and blend well

  2. In medium bowl whisk together egg whites, buttermilk and vanilla

  3. Add buttermilk mixture to flour mixture. stir until dry ingredients are moistened.

  4. Spray skillet with non-stick cooking spray

  5. Spoon 1/3-1/2 cup batter onto skillet, and spread to make 5" circle

  6. Cook till bubbles break through top and bottoms are browned; flip and cook for 2-3 minutes more.

  7. Serve w. low-cal marg; brown sugar/maple syrup; or 2 tbsps banana cream topping
