Basically it's like an other lasagna, layer it up in a casserole, you know the routine. the neufchatel is light and makes is super creamy. A little portion control and it's right at 300 calories.

Recipe Ingredients for Nutwood's Lighter Lasagna

4 ounces lasagna noodles
2 ounces ground turkey
1 tablespoon light olive oil
3 cups tomato sauce
1 cup water
1 cup diced tomatoes
1/2 cup bell pepper
1/2 cup onion
1 clove garlic
2 cups diced mushrooms
2 cups ricotta cheese
2 cups Mozzarella, Part Skim Milk, Low Moisture Cheese
1 package+3+oz neufchatel

Recipe Directions for Nutwood's Lighter Lasagna

  1. Brown turkey with a 1/2 tablespoon of olive oil.

  2. Chop, dice and mince fresh veggies as needed. I like to saute them in a tiny bit of olive oil for a few minutes, but that's optional.

  3. Combine veggies, turkey, sauce, and water in large sauce pan; simmer on medium low heat at least 30 minutes. Add water and cook down to desired thickness if you want to simmer it longer.

  4. Prepare noodles according to package directions.

  5. Layer in casserole dish as follows: very thin layer of sauce, noodles, cheeses, noodles, sauce, cheeses, noodles, cheeses. Cover and bake at 350 for 90 minutes. Uncover and bake at 375 for 20 minutes or until cheese is lightly browned on top.
