Healthy, corn syrup free, granola bars

Recipe Ingredients for nutty cranberry apricot granola bars

2 cups oats
3/4 cup wheat germ
3/4 cup sunflower seeds
3/4 cup peanuts
3/4 cup almonds
1/2 cup honey
3 tbsp butter
1/3 cup dried cranberries
1/3 cup dried apricots

Recipe Directions for nutty cranberry apricot granola bars

  1. Toast first 5 ingredients in 350 degree oven for 12 min. stirring every 4 min.

  2. While oats/nuts are toasting, simmer honey and butter over medium heat.

  3. Add honey/butter mixture and dried fruits to oats/nuts, stir very well.

  4. Line 11x14 pan with wax paper lightly sprayed with oil. Press mixture into pan very, very hard to make firm. Let cool completely before cutting into bar shape.
