A delicious, nutritious alternative to protein bars sold in stores. Coconut oil is a medium-chain fatty acid that the body does not process like other fats. We just love this recipe!

Recipe Ingredients for Nourishing Protein Bars

1 cup, sliced Almonds
1 tbsp Tibetan Goji Berries
1/2 cup Dried Strawberries
4 oz Coconut
16 tbsp Organic Dark Chocolate Chips
8 tbsp Organic Almond Butter (Roasted/Creamy)
12 tbsp Coconut Oil, Unrefined, Organic
2 tsp Orange Peel
4 tbsp Honey
1 tbsp Vanilla Extract
0.5 tsp Sea Salt
4 tbsp Essential Ground Flaxseed, Organic
4 serving Garden of Life RAW Protein Powder

Recipe Directions for Nourishing Protein Bars

Place almonds, almond butter, strawberries, coconut, salt, and flaxseed in food processor. Pulse for approximately one minute. Melt 1/2 cup plus 2 Tbls. coconut oil on stove. Remove from heat Add honey and vanilla to coconut oil. Set aside. Add cocoa powder, protein powder, ground orange peel (dried), and ground goji berries to almond mixture. Pour in coconut oil honey mixture. Pulse again in food processor until mixture is a paste-like consistency. Place in 13 x 9 x 2 baking dish and press down with hands. Melt Chocolate chips with remaining 2 Tbls. coconut oil on low on stove. Pour over top of mixture in baking dish. Refrigerate for 2 hours. Cut into desired sized pieces. Enjoy! Store in refrigerator.
