Recipe Ingredients for not-so quick rolls

1 pint of skim milk
5 cups of flour
2 teaspoons of salt
1/3 cup sugar
2 eggs
3 packages of yeast
4 tablespoons of margarine

Recipe Directions for not-so quick rolls

  1. add yeast 1 tsp of sugar and 3 tsp of lukewarm water in a deep measuring cup and set aside

  2. scald milk and asa taken from fire add sugar, salt, margarine, and stir until dissolved

  3. When cooled to nearly lukewarm, put in mixing bowl, add eggs and yeast mixture.

  4. Beat all thoroughly, then add a little flour at a time.

  5. If too sticky add 1/4 cup of flour.

  6. Grease a large mixing bowl, put in dough, cover , let rise till doubled.

  7. Flour board, roll out dough to 1/2-3/4" thick

  8. cut with biscuit cutter, add a mall piece of butter and fold in half

  9. Place on baking pan, cover, let rise til almost doubled.

  10. Bake in hot oven @ 360 degrees for about 16 minutes or until a delicate brown

  11. Brush w/ melted butter(optional)
