This is Vodka sauce without the vodka but all the flavor! A creamy tomatoe sauce with a kick from red pepper flakes. Yuuummmmm!

Recipe Ingredients for "Not-Ka" Sauce

6 tsp olive oil
12 cloves of garlic
1 1/2 cup chopped red onion
2 tsp salt
42 oz crushed tomatoes
3 pinches red pepper flakes
3/4 cup whipping cream
18 tbsp evaporated nonfat milk
1 cup grated Parmesan Cheese
3/4 cup shredded fresh basil
3/8 tsp black pepper

Recipe Directions for "Not-Ka" Sauce

  1. In a large saucepan heat the oil with the garlic cloves over low heat until the garlic begins to brown.

  2. Add the onions and 1 tsp salt, cook until softened.

  3. Add the tomatoes, 1tsp salt, and the red pepper flakes, bring to a simmer and simmer for 10 minutes.

  4. Add the cream and milk and simmer for another minute.

  5. Remove from heat and add the cheese, basil and black pepper.
