Best if can use either broad egg noodles or brown-rice noodles. Can use any sort of medium sized pasta (elbow, bow ties, shells, etc.) Another option can be to add poppy seeds to this dish appox. 2 tablespoons.

Recipe Ingredients for Noodles with Cottage Cheese (Co-Op)

2 medium onions, sliced length wise
3 tablespoons olive oil
8 ounces dried pasta
1 lb cottage cheese
1/4 cup sour cream

Recipe Directions for Noodles with Cottage Cheese (Co-Op)

  1. In a large skillet, slowly cook the onions in the oil or butter until they are caramelized (deep brown and very sweet).

  2. In a large pot, cook the pasta, being sure not to over cook it.

  3. Drain the pasta and place it back into the pot. Add the caramelized onions, the cottage cheese, and the sour cream. Season with salt and pepper. Reheat pasta in the pot as necessary or you can pour it inot a casserole dish and bake it in the oven at 350 until everything is hot an da little melty and bubbly.
