Recipe Ingredients for Nonna's Home-made Chicken veggie soup

96 oz chicken broth
2 tbl olive oil
1 small onion
1 carrot
2 celery stalks
190 gram chicken meat
1 potato
5 oz canned lima beans
5 oz canned corn
5 oz canned peas
5 oz canned green beans
1 tbl salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/4 c barley

Recipe Directions for Nonna's Home-made Chicken veggie soup

  1. Saute onion, carrot, 1 garlic clove and celery in olive oil until tender

  2. add potato and cook 2-3 mins

  3. add chicken broth, spices and barley

  4. bring a to simmer and cook about 20 minutes until all the veggies are tender

  5. add shredded chicken meat and drained canned veggies

  6. simmer until heated through
