Recipe Ingredients for Nonfat plain yogurt- homemade

1 quart skim milk
2 tbsp plain yogurt
1/2 cup milk powder

Recipe Directions for Nonfat plain yogurt- homemade

  1. Warm 2 Tbsp. yogurt to room temperature

  2. Put a quart of skim milk in a large saucepan. Blend in 1/2 cup of dry milk. Heat the milk to 180 degrees and cool it to 115 degrees. Add a small amount of warm milk to starter, whisk, add this mixture to the saucepan, and whisk again. Pour into a quart jar, screw on a lid, place on a heating pad set on "low", cover with a towel, and cover that with a large soup pot. Incubate for 8 hours.
