No Knead Sourdough Recipe

No knead sourdough with some whole wheat (the first 2 ingredients are really the 1/4 cup sourdough starter begun from a mixture of whole wheat flour and pineapple juice).

Recipe Ingredients for No Knead Sourdough

3/16 cup whole wheat flour
1/16 cup pineapple juice
1 cup whole wheat flour
2 1/2 cups bread flour
1 1/2 tsp salt

Recipe Directions for No Knead Sourdough

  1. Combine 1 cup whole wheat flour, 2 1/2 cups bread flour, and the salt.

  2. Mix 1 1/2 cup water with 1/4 cup sourdough starter.

  3. Combine wet with dry ingredients.

  4. Cover with plastic and let sit 18 hours.

  5. Fold, then cover loosely with plastic for 15 minutes.

  6. Transfer to well floured towel or bowl. Cover with towel and let rise 1 1/2 hours.

  7. Bake for 30 minutes at 500F covered, then 15 minutes at 450F uncovered.
