My first attempt at home-made bread.

Recipe Ingredients for No-Knead Bread

3 1/2 cups of flour
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp yeast
1 5/8 cups water

Recipe Directions for No-Knead Bread

  1. Mix all the ingredients together.

  2. Let it rise for 18 hours or until tiny bubbles form on the surface.

  3. On a floured surface, fold twice. Let rise another 2 hours on generously floured cotton kitchen towels.

  4. Put an oven-safe baking dish in the oven as it preheats to 450. Bake for about 30 minutes with the cover on, then another 15 to 30 minutes without the cover or until golden brown.
