This is delicious bread with a very fine texture. WW points per slice is 2 points based on 23 slices up to 38 slices. Bread sliced thin up to 39 slices or more then it will be 1 point per slice.

Recipe Ingredients for No Knead Bran Bread

3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup dry milk powder
1/4 cup sugar
2 tbsp. instant yeast
1 1/2 tsp. salt
2 cups water
1/4 cup margarine
2 cups all-bran cereal or bran buds cereal*
1 egg

Recipe Directions for No Knead Bran Bread

  1. In a large bowl, combine 1 cup flour, dry milk, sugar, undissolved yeast, and salt. Heat water and butter until very warm (120 to 130 degrees F.).

  2. Stir in all-bran cereal; let stand about 2 minutes or until cereal is softened.

  3. Stir into dry ingredients. Beat 2 minutes at medium speed of electric mixer, scraping bowl occasionally.

  4. Add egg and 1/2 cup flour. Beat 2 minutes at high speed, scraping bowl occaasionally.

  5. Stir in remaining flour to make stiff batter.

  6. Place into 2 (8 1/2 x4 1/2) greased loaf pans.

  7. Cover; let rise in warm, draft-free place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.

  8. Bake at 375 degree F. for 25 minutes or until done.

  9. Remove from pans.

  10. Brush tops of loaves with melted butter, if desired.

  11. Cool on wire racks.

  12. * 4 cups 40% bran flakes may be substitted
