use applesauce instead of butter, can increase the oats if you like- also eliminate the salt and baking soda

Recipe Ingredients for no butter chocolate chip cookies

1 c applesauce
1/2 c sugar
1/2 c brown sugar
2 eggs
1 t vanilla
1/2 t salt
1/2 t baking soda
1 t cinnamon
2 c flour
2 1/4 c rolled oats
2 c semi sweet chocolate chips

Recipe Directions for no butter chocolate chip cookies

  1. preheat oven to 350

  2. mix together applesauce, sugar, brown sugar until well blended

  3. beat in eggs and vanilla

  4. add salt, baking soda, and cinnamon

  5. fold in flour and oats just until homogeneous

  6. fold in chips

  7. drop by the spoonful onto baking sheets

  8. bake 12-15 minutes until golden bottoms

  9. cool
