very low calorie cookies. They're extremely easy. No added sugar (except for the applesauce), no eggs, no butter, no flour, nothing but applesauce and oatmeal.

Recipe Ingredients for No Brainer Oatmeal Cookies

1 1/2 cup dry Old Fashioned Quaker Oats
3 cup Natural Classic Flavors

Recipe Directions for No Brainer Oatmeal Cookies

  1. Preheat oven to 350

  2. Combine applesauce and oats in a bowl, batter will be very moist. You can add anything you want to the batter, fruit pieces, raisins, nutmeg, or even some chocolate. I used some calorie free chocolate syrup by walden farms for one batch. You can also opt for no sugar added applesauce and add splenda to taste for even fewer calories (I'll probably try that next time) Just be creative.

  3. Spray a cookie sheet with a non-stick spray and place cookies about 1" apart from each other. Since there's no baking powder, they won't rise or swell so shape them how you'd like

  4. Bake for 20 minutes, check after 10

  5. When they're done baking turn them over and place them back in the oven for about 5-8 minutes so the tops get a little golden, You don't have to do this but I think it makes them look nicer.

  6. Garnish with ground cinnamon, cocoa powder, or whatever you'd like.
