Recipe Ingredients for No Bake Cookies

2 cups sugar
1/4 cup baking cocoa
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup margarine
1/2 cup evaporated milk
1/2 cup peanut butter
3 cups quick oats

Recipe Directions for No Bake Cookies

  1. Combine sugar, cocoa, margarine, and milk in a sauce pan.

  2. On stove, using medium heat, slowly heat mixture to a rolling boil, continually stirring.

  3. Once mixture reaches a rolling boil (this is important), boil for 45-60 seconds, stirring constantly.

  4. After time expires, remove mixture from burner, immediately add oats.

  5. Stir in oats, after oats are thoroughly combined with mixture, add peanut butter and mix in.

  6. After peanut butter and oats are blended with mixture, add vanilla.

  7. Spoon cookies onto a sheet of wax paper, let cool before eating.

  8. Enjoy the chocolatey goodness! Recipe usually yields 36 small cookies, less if they are larger than a silver dollar.
