Recipe Ingredients for Niv's Cabbage Soup

5 serving beef bullion cubes
0.5 medium head cabbage Green Cabbage
3 medium White Onion
12 oz Carrots, Baby
1 medium (approx 2-3/4" long, 2-1/2" dia) Peppers, Sweet, Green
14.5 oz Beef Broth
14.5 oz Tomatoes
14.5 oz Cut Green Beans

Recipe Directions for Niv's Cabbage Soup

  1. chop all ingredients to desired size

  2. saute the chopped garlic on medium heat in a large stock pot until lightly browned

  3. add the green peppers and onions

  4. add tomatoes and beef broth

  5. add bullion

  6. add cabbage chopped

  7. add green beans (drain water)

  8. add water as needed

  9. add carrots last

  10. stir and simmer on medium heat until carrots are your desired softness (I like mine a little crunchy which takes about 10 - 15 minutes)

  11. cool soup down and store in a large container in the fridge

  12. after 24 hours the flavors are deepened

  13. this makes about 18 1-cup servings
