a good sauce for spaghetti, lasagna, or other pasta's. for a healthier version use fresh tomato's instead of canned, or use a no salt added version.the serving size's are based on what i use them for. 1 serving is easily enough for 2 people.

Recipe Ingredients for Nick's italian sauce

28 oz stewed tomato's
1/2 lb mushroom
200 g celery (6med stalk)
5 1/2 oz tomato paste
328 g (2 lg) green peppers
1/2 onion
150 g lean ground beef
3 tbsp garlic

Recipe Directions for Nick's italian sauce

  1. brown beef in frying pan, when beef is close to finished, add minced garlic and onion

  2. when beef is done, add everything into a pot. or slower cooker and simmer 1hr-all day. add Italian seasoning to taste.
