Recipe Ingredients for New Years Stew

16 oz black-eyed peas, soaked
1/2 bell pepper, chopped
1/2 onion, chopped
1 lb hot sausage, browned and drained
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 stalks celery, chopped
1 tbs sugar
10 oz diced tomatoes with green chilies
46 oz tomato juice

Recipe Directions for New Years Stew

  1. Add all ingredients to slow cooker

  2. Cook for several hours, till peas are tender

  3. Degrease and serve
