New Orleans style slow cooker red beans

Recipe Ingredients for New Orleans Red Beans

2 cup Kidney Beans
7.5 oz Sausage
2 medium (2-1/2" dia) Onions
4 clove Garlic
40 oz Water

Recipe Directions for New Orleans Red Beans

  1. Boil beans in water for 2 minutes, let stand 1 hr.

  2. Dice sausage and brown slowly in pan. Dice onion and garlic, saute with sausage until soft.

  3. Mix all ingredients including bean water in slow-cooker.

  4. Cook on Low 8-10 hours.

  5. Serve with brown rice.
