Recipe Ingredients for "Neeps" or Mashed Turnip

1 lb rutabaga, (i.e. turnip) cut into small cubes
2 tbsp butter
1 tsp sugar

Recipe Directions for "Neeps" or Mashed Turnip

  1. Boil turnip in lightly salted water for 10 minutes or more until they pierce easily with a fork.

  2. Drain turnip and mash, and add remaining ingredients. Add salt and pepper to taste.
