On a warm summer evening try this twist on Lasgna that doesn't require turning on the oven. Layer your ingredients in a large skillet with lid and cover to simmer for 30 minutes so everything comes together.

Recipe Ingredients for Nearly Homemade Skillet Lasagna

16 oz Whole Wheat lasagna
750 grams Light For Bolognese Original Sauce
4 cups Spinach (frozen)
3 cups Diced Tomatoes
1 cup Light Ricotta Cheese
2 cups 1% Cottage Cheese
2 cups Reduced Fat Italian Blend Shredded Cheese
16 oz Ground Turkey
1 tbsp Italian Seasoning

Recipe Directions for Nearly Homemade Skillet Lasagna

  1. Bring 4 quarts of water to a boil. Add the Lasagna Noodles broken in half to make layering in the skillet easier. Allow to boil while you prepare the other ingredients.

  2. Brown the Ground Turkey

  3. Drain fat from cooked Ground Turkey

  4. Add Spinach, Tomatoes and Italian Seasoning to the cooked Turkey.

  5. Transfer the turkey mixture to another container.

  6. In a medium bowl, combine the ricotta, cottage and Italian Blend Cheese.

  7. In the large skillet you will make the lasagne heat the olive oil and allow to coat bottom of skillet (Optional).

  8. Pour 1/4 cup of tomato sauce into the bottom of the skillet.

  9. Add a well spaced layer of the cooked lasagne noodles on top of the tomato sauce.

  10. Next layer 1/3 of the turkey mixture, 1/3 of the cheese mixture and 1/4 cup of tomato sauce

  11. Repeat the noodles, turkey mixture, cheese and tomato sauce until you have used all ingredients.

  12. Place cover over skillet, reduce heat to low - simmer and allow to simmer for 15 - 30 Min.

  13. Allow Lasagne to cool for 15 - 20 so that the recipe can set and serve hot.
