1 cup dry navy beans
5 cups chicken broth
1/2 cup celery, diced
1/2 cup carrots, diced
1/2 cup onion, diced
4 oz ham, diced
1/4 tsp bay leaf

  1. Rinse, sort and soak beans overnight

  2. Put all ingredients in a soup pot, bring to a boil, reduce heat and cover

  3. Simmer for about 45 minutes.
