Bean and ham soup with tomatoes, onion, and celery. Would probably be good with a carrot tossed in too.

Recipe Ingredients for Navy Bean Soup I

1 cup dry Beans Navy Dry
1 cup Cranberry Beans
0.5 cup Organics Split Green Peas Dry
0.5 cup dry Dried Black Beans
14.5 oz Diced Tomatoes
1 medium (2-1/2" dia) Onions
3 stalk, medium (7-1/2" - 8" long) Celery
2 clove Garlic
1 cup Diced Ham
6 Teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
1 tbsp Parsley, Dried
2 tsp Garlic Powder
1/4 tsp Bay Leaf
1 tsp Salt, Table
0.5 tsp Pepper, Black
4 cup Fat Free Chicken Broth

Recipe Directions for Navy Bean Soup I

  1. Mix all and cook in crock pot or simmer on stove several hours. Add water as necessary to keep it from drying out.

  2. Recipe calls for 1 bag (16 oz) navy beans but I used 1 cup each navy and cranberry, and 1/2 cup each split peas and black.

  3. Recipe also calls for 4 cups water and a chicken bullion cube but I used home made fat free salt free broth.
