Use your mom's pie crust recipe because IT'S THE BEST!!! *The real recipe doesn't have this. I just like the extra chicken flavor. So I use both the bouillon and the broth from the boiled chicken. **Traditional Chicken Pot Pie has peas, not corn, but I hate peas. So I use corn.

Recipe Ingredients for Nancy's Chicken Pot Pie

1/3 c. margarine
1/3 c. flour
1/3 c. chopped onion
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 3/4 c. chicken broth
1 tsp. chicken bouillon
2/3 c. milk
2 c. cut up cooked chicken or turkey
8 oz frozen carrots
8 oz frozen corn
1 pie crust

Recipe Directions for Nancy's Chicken Pot Pie

  1. Melt margarine; stir in flour, onion, salt, and pepper until smooth.

  2. Add broth and milk. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil and stir one minute.

  3. Add chicken and frozen vegetables.

  4. Prepare pie crust. Roll 2/3 of dough out to line pan. Pour chicken mixture inside. Roll out remaining 1/3 of dough and cover chicken mixture. Cut slits in center.

  5. Cook uncovered at 425 until crust is light brown ? about 30 minutes.
