Recipe Ingredients for Nancy's American Chop Suey

3/4 cup, chopped Onions
4 oz Celery
7 oz Peppers, Sweet, Green
12 oz Laura's 96% Lean Ground Round
3 tbsp Oil Olive Light in Flavour
8 oz Shells Medium Dry
14 1/2 oz Stewed Tomatoes, No Salt Added
15 oz Tomato Sauce
1/2 cup water

Recipe Directions for Nancy's American Chop Suey

  1. saute chopped onion, celery and green peppers in the olive oil until slightly softened.

  2. Add ground beef

  3. continue to saute until beef is throughly browned.

  4. add can of stewed tomatoes

  5. add can of tomato sauce

  6. add 1/2 can of water.

  7. stir and continue to simmer.

  8. Ina an additional pot heat water to boil and add pasta

  9. When pasta is done, drain and add to mixture. simmer for about 5 minutes.

  10. during simmering I add Mrs. dash garlic & Herb. but that is a matter of my taste.
