Cheese Sauce and Nacho Cheese Sauce

Recipe Ingredients for Nacho Cheese Sauce

2 tablespoons of butter
3 tablespoons of flour
12 ounces of condensed milk
1 cup of shredded cheese
2 ounces jalapenos

Recipe Directions for Nacho Cheese Sauce

  1. Melt two tablespoons of butter or margarine over medium heat in a two quart sauce pan. Make sure that you do not burn the butter.

  2. Remove pan from heat, and add three tablespoons of flour. Stir the mixture vigorously until there aren't any lumps left in the pan. It should make a thick yellowish paste. Add one teaspoon of salt and pepper. Put the pan back on the heat and continue cooking.

  3. Add 12 ounces of condensed milk to the flour mixture and stir until it is lump free. It should be the consistency of gravy. If it is too thick, add extra milk until it is the correct consistency. If it becomes too thick at this stage, it will be like a lump of solid cheese when it's done.

  4. Add 1 cup of shredded cheese to the mixture, and continue cooking on medium until all cheese it's completely melted and blended into the flour mixture. Cook for about two to three minutes

  5. Remove from heat, and chopped jalapenos, serve while hot
