A good bread machine recipe for Naan.

Recipe Ingredients for Naan

1/4 ounce active dry yeast
1 cup warm water
1/4 cup white sugar
3 tablespoons milk
1 egg, beaten
2 teaspoons salt
4 cups all purpose flour
2 teaspoons minced garlic (optional)
1/4 cup butter

Recipe Directions for Naan

mix warm water and yeast with half of the sugar. Let set for 10 minutes until it is all frothy. Pour in bread machine along with all the other ingredients except for the butter and the garlic. Also, I oiled the sides of the bread machine pan because this is sort of sticky dough. After the dough cycle has completed, punch down dough, mix in garlic and knead, place in bowl and let rise (cover with damp cloth). Allow it to double in size--about 30 minutes. Then make little balls of dough. About golf ball size. Roll out on lightly floured surface until thin and then either grill on a oiled grill or cook inside in a skillet with butter.
