Dough and sauce for homemade pizza

Recipe Ingredients for MyPizza

1 tsp active dry yeast
1 cup warm water
3 cups all-purpose flour
2 1/2 tsp salt
14 ounce diced tomatoes
1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1 tsp dried oregano

Recipe Directions for MyPizza

  1. dissolve yeast in warm water

  2. mix 1 1/2 tsp salt into flour

  3. make a well in the flour

  4. pour yeast water into well

  5. stir slowly, incorporating a small amount of flour into the water at a time

  6. when stiff, pour on to clean surface and kneed for about 10 minutes

  7. Place in oiled bowl, cover and let rise for 2 hours

  8. Punch down, put in refrigerator and let rise 12- 24 hours until doubled

  9. Sauce

  10. drain tomatoes and chop briefly, to your desired chunkiness

  11. mix in salt, oil and oregano

  12. Assemble

  13. Divide dough into 4 pieces

  14. roll each piece to about 1/4 inch thickness

  15. spoon sauce evenly over dough

  16. bake for 8 minutes at 330 degrees

  17. add toppings

  18. bake for another 8 minutes
