mmmmmm hearty oatmeal makes 2 servings - either feed 2 people, or put the cooked oatmeal in a microwaveable storage container for the next day, nuke for 1-2 minutes, then add goodies and milk.

Recipe Ingredients for My Ultimate Oatmeal

2 cups water
3/4 cup rolled oats
1/4 cup oat bran
2 tbl ground flax seed
2 tbl chopped walnuts or other nuts
2 tbl raisins or other dried fruit
2 tbl brown sugar
1/2 cup skim milk (optional)
1 cinnamon to taste
1 nutmeg to taste

Recipe Directions for My Ultimate Oatmeal

  1. boil water in small pot

  2. add rolled oats and oat bran

  3. cook until it reaches your favorite oatmeal consistancy

  4. transfer to bowls

  5. add ground flax seed, nuts, fruit, and brown sugar

  6. pour milk over and stir, enjoy.
