whole grain corn grits makes a yummy polenta

Recipe Ingredients for My Polenta

1 1/2 cups corn meal
5 cups water
2 tablespoons butter
2 teaspoons salt
3 cups chopped broccoli
1/4 cup green chilies
1/4 cup sliced green onions

Recipe Directions for My Polenta

  1. Pour 5 cups boiling water in oven proof dish. Mix in corn grits, salt and butter. Bake at 325 for 30 minutes.

  2. Stir in broccoli, chilies, and onion. Return to oven for 15 or 20 minutes more.

  3. Pour into loaf pan. Cool. May be sliced and fried, or eaten warm.
